After a few months of weather fluctuating between cold and snowy, cool and rainy, and warm and sunny, warm weather seems to be here to stay in Estes Park. And what’s one of the first things we do when the weather turns warmer? We put on sandals, take one look at our toenails, and decide it’s time to schedule a pedicure and manicure. It’s time to pick a bright color and never put a pair of socks back on until September.

At Riverspointe Spa & Salon, we offer a range of spa services that will help you get in the mood for summer, including facials, massages, waxing, haircuts, and more! Whether you live in Estes Park or are here for a vacation in the mountains, stop by our salon and we’ll make sure that you’re well taken care of.

Three Types of Manis and Pedis

Basic Polish

Even though you can give yourself a basic polish at home, it’s fairly likely that at least one nail will be a little wonky or scratched and you’ll have to redo some nails multiple times — how do people paint the nails on their non-dominant hand anyway? With professional nail technicians, you can count on every nail being flawless. And when you head to a nail salon for a mani or pedi, you can experience a relaxing and soothing foot or hand massage too. A basic polish will cost between $10 and $20 and will take about 30 minutes.

Shellac

Even though Shellac is actually a trademark name for a type of manicure and pedicure, it has become a household name. The polish is a hybrid between a gel and regular nail polish that is hardened with a UV light. It’s not quite as hard as a full gel polish, but it provides a durable surface that will last up to three weeks without any chips. This option will cost between $30 and $45 and can take around an hour to complete. To protect the health of your nails, make sure to soak your nails with acetone before removing the polish.

Gel

A great option if you don’t have the length of nails you want, gel polish can actually extend the length of your nails and then can be shaped. Gel polish can be used on both natural and fake nails. Riverspointe Spa wants to ensure that every customer will get exactly what they’re looking for when they come into our spa. However, we are an all-natural nail salon and cannot work with acrylic or gel nails. If you have any questions about our services, visit our manicures and pedicures page!
